In her recent appearance on Ireland's 'Late Late Show,' Rosie O'Donnell discussed her recent relocation to Ireland and addressed her longstanding feud with Donald Trump. She expressed discomfort over Trump's remarks regarding her and the inelegant treatment of Irish Prime Minister Micheál Martin during his visit to the White House. O'Donnell revealed that she sent an apology to Martin for the situation and expressed her sadness at Trump's election victory, which she described as emotionally overwhelming. Her reflections encapsulated the ongoing impact of their feud over two decades.
I felt very troubled that they put the taoiseach (Irish prime minister) in that position and didn't treat him with the respect that a leader of that kind deserves when he's visiting the White House.
He's been doing it for two decades, and I'm still not used to it every time he does.
It’s overwhelmingly sad to me personally and way too much for me to take emotionally that he won the election.
I wrote the taoiseach with a little note apology to his email and got a note back that they had received it and thanked me.
