Representative Thomas Massie married Carolyn Grace Moffa on Oct. 16 in Kentucky and held a Christian ceremony in Pennsylvania with friends and family. Moffa is a former Sen. Rand Paul staffer and has not previously been married. Massie said he has known Moffa for more than a decade and that she had met his first wife on the couple's Kentucky farm, where the couple will live when not in Washington, D.C. Republican colleagues attended the wedding. Massie announced the death of his first wife, Rhonda, on June 28, 2024, and reactions to the remarriage ranged from well-wishes to criticism of the timing.
