Dr. David B. Samadi, a leading oncologist, has expressed skepticism regarding the timeline of President Biden's prostate cancer diagnosis. He questions how doctors could assert that Biden's cancer is 'hormone sensitive' without evidence of ongoing treatment. Samadi highlights the rapid sequence of events from nodule discovery to diagnosis and treatment, pointing out the impossibility of determining hormonal sensitivity within a week. An additional urologic oncologist noted that most prostate cancers are hormone-sensitive, emphasizing the complexities of diagnosis and treatment timelines.
A week ago, they had the prostate nodule. Within a week they did the biopsy and got the disease, so very quickly - based on the story they're telling - they've been able to do the staging part to find out if the cancer has spread to the bone or not.
If the PSA starts to go down, that's when you know he's hormone sensitive. I don't know how they'd be able to give all of this information from diagnosis to treatment to all of that within one week.
