Putin gifted Trump a portrait of GOP leader defiantly raising his fist after surviving assassination attempt: report
Briefly

Vladimir Putin gifted a portrait to Donald Trump depicting him after a near-fatal assassination attempt, symbolizing strength and resilience. The artwork, commissioned by the Kremlin, showcases Trump’s defiance with blood on his face, drawing on a pivotal campaign moment. Artist Nikas Safronov, who worked for free, believed the piece could foster warmer relations between the two nations. The gift was presented to Trump’s envoy in Moscow amid ongoing discussions to end the Russia-Ukraine conflict, highlighting political undercurrents in the cultural gesture.
It was important to me to show the blood, the scar and his bravery during the attempt on his life. He didn't break down or become afraid, but raised his arm to show he is one with America and will bring back what it deserves.
When I started the portrait, I realized this could bring our countries closer, and decided not to charge any money because I suspected what this painting was for.
