Researchers then collated answers between those who said each politician was either above average intelligence or below average intelligence. Responses who answered "about average" or "not sure" were not factored."
"As recorded by GLAAD, Marjorie Taylor Greene has, amongst many other things, made the baseless and false accusation that Rep. Sarah McBride, who is transgender, is a "groomer" and "child predator" in a post on X. Greene also deadnamed McBride in the same post. She also appeared in an anti-transgender rap video for the song "MTG" while promoting anti-LGBTQ rhetoric and conspiracy theories."

Marjorie Taylor Greene received the lowest net perception, with 28% saying below average and 15% above average. Donald Trump ranked fifth among figures seen as least intelligent, with respondents only three percentage points more likely to call him unintelligent. Joe Biden showed a net -10% perception, with 34% saying unintelligent versus 24% saying above average. Several other politicians registered mixed net ratings.
