A former transportation secretary concurred with a former vice president that Biden was wrong to pursue a second term before withdrawing in July after a widely panned debate performance against President Donald Trump. Biden made the decision himself, and an earlier withdrawal might have produced better results. The former transportation secretary reported he was not included in the decision process to run and believes others share the view that the decision should have been made sooner. Attention must now turn to the decisions ahead for the party, the political movement, and the country.
