Non-Political People Are Sharing Why They Don't Like Engaging In Politics, And It's Insightful
Briefly

The article expresses deep disillusionment with the American political system, emphasizing that both major parties are driven by financial interests rather than genuine concern for constituents. The author cites examples like the TikTok ban and stagnant gun control discussions as illustrations of this trend, criticizing the reliance on money from powerful interest groups like the NRA. Further, the need for candidates with relatable experiences and less elite backgrounds is highlighted, as the author seeks representation that resonates with average citizens rather than those endorsed by the wealthy or celebrities.
I stopped supporting either party when I realized that they're all in it for the money. It became extremely obvious with the TikTok ban, but also, look at issues like gun control (funny how that conversation simmered down): Republicans offer thoughts and prayers, and Democrats SWEAR if you vote for THEM, they'll make things safer with gun control. But no matter what, it never gets passed. The Republicans love their NRA money, and it's the perfect 'problem requiring a solution' that gets Democrats in office. Want to get me to support a Presidential candidate? Show me one that isn't running with a political 'war chest' over a million dollars. Show me one endorsed by people choosing between putting money into their 401K and paying their medical bills.
I don't wanna see a celebrity wearing more on their ass than I earn in a year endorsing them like they know what the HELL the common man is going through. I don't give a good goddamn about race, sexual orientation, or if their pronouns are Oompa/Loompa. Give me an individual with enough 'street credit' with the average person, and I'll vote for that person, hands down.
