"On Thursday morning, Fox News' Maria Bartiromo asked Mace-point-blank-what happened on that fateful day. Instead of answering the question, Mace went on a nonsensical rant and talked about her work "fighting the trans community" (aka: she has a weird obsession with trans bathrooms); the death of Charlie Kirk; and how she was recently "aggressively approached" by a "leftist.""
""We have to take our security very seriously, if you're conservative, if you're well known, if you've fought the transgender community exponentially like I have, in the wake of Charlie Kirk's public assassination- the death threats, the amount of political violence, the celebration of the killing of conservatives is deeply disturbing," she said. She then quoted Elon Musk, who recently claimed he can't go out in public and said, she too, has been in hiding: "I had an incident just three weeks ago, where I was in public, it was the last time I was in public." When Bartiromo pointed out that Mace's answer was, 1) not an answer and 2) suspiciously defensive about something she says she was falsely accused of doing, Mace said the incident was a "breach of security," and claimed it was one of hundreds that have happened at Charleston this year alone, and that she has suffered over "two dozen" of them."
Surveillance footage was released showing an incident involving Rep. Nancy Mace at Charleston International Airport. The airport police department attributed the spectacle to miscommunication and failure to follow protocol. On Fox News, Mace avoided a direct explanation and instead emphasized security concerns, claiming targeting for fighting the transgender community, referencing the death of Charlie Kirk, and saying she was aggressively approached by a leftist. Mace described death threats and political violence, cited Elon Musk about hiding, said a recent public outing was her last, alleged a falsified police report, called the event a breach of security, and claimed dozens of similar incidents.
