Harris repeatedly said a 2028 run is not her focus and confirmed she decided not to run for California governor. She praised the field of California candidates, expressed love for the state, and urged successors to follow Governor Gavin Newsom's example in standing up and using California's power to counter actions from Washington, D.C.
