Mike Pence Slams the Fallen' Heritage Foundation Amid Mass Exodus to His Own Think Tank

Roberts later walked back his comments, but the weeks since have nevertheless seen three members of Heritage's board of trustees resign."

Advancing American Freedom plans to hire about 15 Heritage Foundation employees, including senior leaders from legal, data analysis, and economic policy centers. John Malcolm, Kevin Dayaratna and Richard Stern are among those joining, with Malcolm bringing seven team members and AAF taking on roughly a dozen other staffers. AAF will house the Edwin Meese III Institute for the Rule of Law while Heritage's legal studies center remains named after Meese. The departures follow Heritage President Kevin Roberts's defense and later walkback regarding Tucker Carlson's interview with Nick Fuentes, and three Heritage board members have resigned amid concerns about institutional drift and tolerance of harmful ideas.
