Micheal Martin to meet JD Vance ahead of Oval Office meeting with Trump as tariff tensions between EU and US intensify

Mr. Martin's official schedule in Washington starts with a breakfast meeting with Vice President JD Vance at the Naval Observatory, where a semi-casual atmosphere is expected. This will be followed by a meeting with President Trump in the Oval Office, attended by key advisors and possibly Secretary of State Marco Rubio. Afterward, Mr. Martin will address the media about his discussions with Trump and will then attend a 'Friends of Ireland' lunch at the US Capitol hosted by House Speaker Mike Johnson, focusing on strengthening Irish-US economic ties.

Mr Martin will meet Vice President JD Vance at the US Naval Observatory for breakfast for around an hour first this morning in Washington.

The US President will have his closest advisors and high ranking politicians with him in the room. The Vice President is likely to be there and US Secretary of State Marco Rubio may also make an appearance.
