Dina Powell McCormick was named Meta president and vice chairman after joining Meta's board in April and resigning in December. She served as a deputy national security advisor in President Donald Trump's first term, overseeing a $200 billion US-Saudi arms deal, leading Trump's Middle East tour, and being considered for chief of staff or U.N. representative before leaving the administration in 2018. She previously served under President George W. Bush, rising to senior White House assistant and assistant secretary of state under Condoleezza Rice, and was the highest-ranking Arab American in that administration at her 2007 resignation. She spent 16 years at Goldman Sachs. Meta also hired C.J. Mahoney as chief legal officer in 2026.
