First Lady Melania Trump met with Keith and Aviva Siegel after their release from Hamas captivity. Aviva was released first and called Melania, and Keith was freed in February 2025 after more than 15 months in captivity following the Oct. 7 attack. Melania recalled meeting Aviva in New York in January 2025 and said that the emotional encounter is captured on camera and appears in her documentary, Melania. Minutes later, a reporter asked whether promoting the movie during a White House event was appropriate.
