Greene said she changed her vote on the NDAA rule to yes in exchange for that commitment. The bill would criminalize providing gender-affirming care to anyone under 18 and would make access to transgender healthcare more difficult for adults. The House passed the NDAA 312-112, with some Republicans and Democrats voting against it. Greene has announced her resignation from the House, and the LGBTQ+ group HRC denounced the proposed legislation.
