Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene publicly condemned a White House official who criticized lawmakers attempting to release Jeffrey Epstein files. Reps. Ro Khanna and Thomas Massie introduced a bipartisan resolution urging the Department of Justice to release all related files. An anonymous White House official warned that aiding Massie and liberal Democrats would be viewed as a hostile act because the DOJ supports a comprehensive release through the Oversight Committee. Greene said she contradicted President Trump’s claim that the Epstein case is a hoax, described phone call pushback to her signing a discharge petition, and blamed administration aides rather than Trump personally.
Oh, I got a lot of pushback, Greene replied. I got phone call after phone call last night. They didn't want me to sign the discharge petition. They want to focus on the oversight investigation. They hate Thomas Massie more than they can hate any Democrat, which makes no sense to me. And they don't want to work with Democrats at all.
Every Republican should be able to sign onto this. And that's the real hoax, that they're afraid to sign onto it because somebody who is a real coward from one of the Trump admin officials came out and called this a hostile act against Trump administration. I take very big offense to that because I put my life and my fortune on the line fighting
