Large crowds gathered at Nicollet Avenue and 26th Street in Minneapolis after a 37-year-old resident was shot and killed by federal agents. Federal immigration officers formed lines, moved through crowds, and deployed tear gas and gas canisters. People fled, with some on the ground next to vehicles as agents advanced. At least one person was detained and others were shoved to the ground by federal officers. Hennepin County sheriff deputies cleared barricades of trash bins near the intersection. A Minnesota state flag was waved amid the standoff while protesters gathered nearby at Nicollet Avenue and 25th Street.
