We feel just as confident as we did yesterday that we will win this race in November."
"Mamdani's remarks came after Politico reported incumbent NYC Mayor Eric Adams was offered a position at the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development. In addition, the New York Times reported that Republican challenger Curtis Sliwa has also been offered a position in the Trump White House, clearing the field and boosting the chances of Andrew Cuomo, who was embarrassed by Mamdani in the NYC Democratic primary earlier this year. Cuomo is now running as an Independent."
President Donald Trump offered positions to two New York City mayoral candidates, including incumbent Mayor Eric Adams and Republican Curtis Sliwa. Adams was offered a role at the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development. Sliwa was offered a position in the Trump White House, a move that could clear the field and bolster Andrew Cuomo’s prospects. Andrew Cuomo lost the Democratic primary to Zohran Mamdani and is now running as an Independent. Zohran Mamdani called the offers an affront to democracy and said his campaign remains as confident as before that it will win the November race.
