"You don't understand what insurrection is," Pritzker said, "when people are trying to overturn an election here at the Congress - You were here, they were attacking you by the way." "You're the one condoning pardoning of people who attacked police right here at our Capitol."
"Boom.Boebert dares to cry "insurrection" - while defending the mob that beat cops with flagpoles on Jan 6?The hypocrisy burns brighter than her IQ.- AnatolijUkraine (@AnatoliUkraine)"
A Congressional House Oversight and Government Reform Committee hearing examined state sanctuary policies as three Democratic governors answered questions. Illinois Gov. J.B. Pritzker and Rep. Lauren Boebert engaged in a heated exchange after Boebert called Los Angeles immigration protests an insurrection. Pritzker invoked the January 6 attack on the Capitol, calling that event the attack on democracy and an insurrection. Boebert repeatedly spoke over him, asserting that Americans exercising protest rights constituted insurrection while downplaying January 6 attackers. Pritzker accused Boebert of condoning pardons for those who assaulted police. Social media users praised Pritzker and mocked Boebert.
