"Is the Executive Office building color going to be changed? Ingraham asked Trump as they walked through the White House. I heard a rumor of that. The host noted that she worked in the building as a member of the Reagan administration. So, you know it was always considered an ugly building, Trump replied. But it's actually one of the most beautiful buildings ever built. I kinda like it, Ingraham said."
"TRUMP: Look at that. How beautiful that is with a coat of paint. INGRAHAM: So, is it just painting, though? TRUMP: It's all painting. Most of it's painting. INGRAHAM: So, what is it now? Just natural? TRUMP: Cleaning and pointing and painting. It needs other work, too. Look at that, how beautiful that is. INGRAHAM: But you don't worry that it's like a big white blob?"
Laura Ingraham showed visible distaste when President Donald Trump presented plans to repaint the Eisenhower Executive Office Building. The building opened in 1888 and was named for the 34th president in 1999. Ingraham noted she worked in the building during the Reagan administration. Trump called the structure one of the most beautiful buildings ever built and displayed a rendering with a new paint color. He described the project as mostly cleaning, pointing and painting intended to bring out architectural details. Trump also touted plans to build a ballroom on the site of the old East Wing, which he demolished last month. Raymond Arroyo joined the exchange.
