Kristi Noem Can't Even Convince Red States to Build ICE Detention Centers
"It had apparently been fine when the chairman was insulting women, immigrants, Muslims, and Black people, or variants thereof. But for Lieutenant Governor Dan Patrick and other Republicans, this was the one bigotry (antisemitism) they couldn't appear to abide. It was time for Bo to go. Patrick called for French's resignation, writing on X, "antisemitism and religious bigotry have no place in Texas.""
"Most of French's online "messaging" has little to do with pipeline safety or gas flaring or any other matter that keeps the petrodollars flowing. If anything, his rhetoric on X has grown even darker. French has recently been flagged for violating rules against violent speech-quite an accomplishment on Elon Musk's platform-in tweets calling to "hang repeat violent offenders" and "remove third world subtards" from the country."
Texas elects members to the Railroad Commission. Bo French served as Tarrant County Republican chairman and ran for a Railroad Commission seat. French posted an online poll asking followers whether Jews or Muslims were the "bigger threat to America." Lieutenant Governor Dan Patrick and other Republicans demanded French's resignation and condemned antisemitism and religious bigotry. French deleted the poll and issued an apology while asserting antisemitism has no place in the Republican Party. French's online rhetoric has been increasingly violent and was flagged for policy violations, including calls to "hang repeat violent offenders."
