""I'm sorry, Dylann Roof?" Patel said. "Can you give me some more information?""
""Can you give me a reminder? I've got a lot in front of me," Patel responded."
""It was national news," Kamlager-Dove said. "Do you admit that that happened?""
During a House Judiciary Committee hearing, Rep. Sydney Kamlager-Dove questioned FBI Director Kash Patel about several extremist right-wing mass murders. Kamlager-Dove named Dylann Roof, who followed white supremacist propaganda and murdered nine Black parishioners in Charleston in 2015, and asked Patel whether he denied that fact. Patel replied that he did not recognize the name and asked for more information, saying, "Can you give me a reminder? I've got a lot in front of me." Kamlager-Dove also raised the 2018 Tree of Life synagogue attack by neo-Nazi Robert Bowers, which killed 11 congregants.
