In a recent interview, JPMorgan CEO Jamie Dimon expressed admiration for China's achievements in improving the living standards of its citizens over the past two decades. While he identifies as an American patriot capitalist, he appreciates China's ability to implement a comprehensive economic strategy that has successfully elevated its economy. Dimon insisted that JPMorgan remains committed to China as a "long-term investor," emphasizing the need to adapt to the existing geopolitical landscape while continuing to pursue growth opportunities in the region.
"They have done an enormous job over the last 20 years lifting up their people," Dimon told Bloomberg in an interview in Shanghai on Thursday local time.
"What China does so well is manage its country as a whole - coordinating government and business so that they are able to further some of their strategic goals," Dimon wrote in his letter.
