"The guy behind the tent table said, Hey, give this to your mom, she's going to really want this,' and one of the children comes running up, gives us the bracelet and we're looking at it and it literally says Is He Dead Yet?' on the bracelet, Neubauer told reporter Tony Langfellow."
"It's hate speech, Neubauer said. It's literally wishing death on somebody, which isn't appropriate in any scenario."
"The materials brought by a volunteer without the authorization of the Party are not in line with our values and we regret this happened."
A volunteer at the Winnebago County Democratic Party booth handed an 8-year-old a bracelet reading 'Is He Dead Yet?' referring to President Donald Trump at the Oshkosh Farmers Market. The child's family reported that a man behind the tent said to give the bracelet to the child's mother before the child delivered it. Market manager Michelle Schmid-Schultz confirmed about ten complaints and said the bracelets violated market rules against hate speech, yet the party booth will remain allowed at future markets. The Democratic Party of Wisconsin said the materials were brought without party authorization and do not reflect party values. The Republican county chair called the incident concerning amid heightened political violence.
