Rep. Ilhan Omar, 43, faced a syringe-wielding man during a Tuesday night town hall while calling for the resignation of Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem. A 55-year-old audience member, identified as Anthony Kazmierczak, jumped up and approached the podium clutching a syringe filled with an unknown liquid. Omar posted that she was OK and described herself as a survivor who would not be intimidated, thanking constituents who rallied behind her and saying she does not let bullies win. Kazmierczak was arrested and charged with third-degree assault. It is not known if he has an attorney.
