A protester was fatally shot by federal agents in Minneapolis during a targeted operation. DHS posted that the individual approached US Border Patrol officers with a 9 mm semi-automatic handgun and shared a photo the agency said showed the weapon the man brandished when ICE shot him in self-defense. Social media video circulated showing the man holding a phone and appearing to film agents moments before the shooting. The man is identified as 51 years old in social posts. DHS had not yet commented on the newly posted footage.
