Judges repeatedly release Justine Randall-Pizarro, a troubled 18-year-old subway hijacker, allowing her to accumulate over a dozen arrests in one year. Despite her dangerous behavior, including commandeering a train while distracted, she continues to face leniency from the justice system. NYPD officials describe her as a recidivist who breaks into transit systems and steers trains, posing significant risks to herself and others. Authorities express concern that the system's mercy toward her has effectively failed to curb her criminal activity and protect public safety.
Clearly something is very wrong on an individual level. Not to mention, she poses a massive danger to herself and others. That joy ride easily could have collided with another train.
All these arrests appear to be in vain. Every time the police nab Randall-Pizarro, the justice system seems hellbent on letting her go with a slap on the wrist.
