"Agents of a federal agency unnecessarily escalating, and then executing a defenseless citizen whose offense appears to be using his cell phone camera,"
"Every person regardless of political affiliation should be denouncing this."
"not granted entry because they did not have a warrant, and promptly left."
Employees at some tech companies demand leaders cancel government contracts, while workers at other firms seek protection from government raids and physical violence. After the shooting of Minneapolis nurse Alex Pretti, at least one federal agent attempted to enter Google's Cambridge office last fall. Google's head of security and risk operations said an officer arrived at reception without notice and was not granted entry because they did not have a warrant; the agent promptly left. Google senior leadership has been largely quiet, while DeepMind chief scientist Jeff Dean condemned the killing. The incident renewed calls to defund or abolish ICE, and over 800 tech workers signed an open letter urging companies to cut ties with the agency.
