George Santos Settles Down (for Now)
""I can't wait for bottled water. I never want to drink tap again," he says."
""I'm like, 'Yeah, whatever,'" he says."
""I'm always on TV. They're probably shit talking me.""
""I was like, 'What? Uh, nobody told me anything.'""
Desaki hibachi in the Poconos filled with celebrants as George Santos dined and socialized after his sentence was commuted. Santos joined in singing, caught tossed zucchini, watched an onion volcano, and commented that hibachi is "so tacky" yet enjoyable. He had not eaten in the 48 hours since President Donald Trump commuted his seven-year sentence for wire fraud and identity theft. Santos learned of the commutation when fellow inmates saw him on television and he heard screaming in the cafeteria. Matt Gerard picked him up for the drive home to their Poconos residence and Queens home. Santos described basic comforts he planned to enjoy, including bottled water, a proper shower, and sitting on a toilet after months.
