"I saw ICE agents circling a young woman who appeared to be Hispanic,"
"I said to this ICE agent, 'Take me, stop harassing her.'"
"Are you afraid now?"
"You're white anyway. You wouldn't be any fun."
Rev. Kenny Callaghan, a senior pastor at All God's Children Metropolitan Community Church, was handcuffed after confronting ICE agents who were circling a woman perceived to be Hispanic. An agent pointed a gun at Callaghan and asked, "Are you afraid now?" Callaghan was released after about thirty minutes without charges and was told, "You're white anyway. You wouldn't be any fun." The incident occurred the same morning an ICE agent shot and killed Renee Nicole Good, a queer wife and mother, while protestors remained nonviolent. The event exemplified blatant systemic racism and intimidation.
