Fox News Anchor Bitterly Rails Against Jimmy Kimmel's Return After Charlie Kirk Snafu
"Well, the Fox News and I Common Sense Department has a few thoughts on Jimmy Kimmel's long weekend. As you know, Kimmel is back on the air tomorrow night, which is proof positive that ABC does not mess around. No siree. After Kimmel went on the air and said, quote, The MAGA gang was desperately trying to characterize this kid who murdered Charlie Kirk as anything other than one of them, America's Broadcasting Company said it was suspending Kimmel's show indefinitely."
"And sure enough, Kimmel was out of work for three, four nights. Common Sense would suggest that is not a suspension, it's an infraction. A parking ticket has more teeth! At least Sinclair Broadcasting, which owns 38 ABC affiliates around the country, is still refusing to air Kimmel. But Sinclair also says it is now in talks with ABC. So how long will Sinclair's standoff stand?"
ABC suspended Jimmy Kimmel's show indefinitely after a monologue comment about the Charlie Kirk shooting. President Donald Trump's administration pressured ABC through FCC commissioner Brendan Carr. The suspension lasted only a few nights and ABC reinstated Kimmel. Trace Gallagher criticized the suspension on Fox News, calling it a minor infraction akin to a parking ticket. Sinclair Broadcasting, owner of 38 ABC affiliates, refuses to air Kimmel's show and demands an apology to the Kirk family plus a meaningful donation to the Kirk family and Turning Point USA. Sinclair says it is in talks with ABC over the standoff.
