Florida federal prosecutor fired after old alleged anti-Trump blog posts surface
"Assistant U.S. Attorney Will Rosenzweig of the Southern District of Florida was fired by email last week when he was off work to observe Rosh Hashanah, the Jewish New Year."
"She cited several alleged comments by Rosenzweig, including claims that Trump was "mentally unfit" and "an institutional terrorist.""
""With his dismissal," the Miami Herald reports, "Rosenzweig has become the latest of dozens of federal prosecutors fired by Trump's Justice Department in Washington, New York, Miami and other cities who were believed to be at odds with the president or his political agenda.""
Assistant U.S. Attorney Will Rosenzweig was fired by email while off work to observe Rosh Hashanah. Past blog posts attributed to Rosenzweig criticized President Donald Trump during his first term. The posts on a private "Hosts of Error" blog included alleged language labeling Trump "mentally unfit" and "an institutional terrorist" and were described as "vicious attacks on President Trump and his supporters." Rosenzweig allegedly wrote the posts while an associate at Kobre & Kim and joined the U.S. attorney's office in September 2020. He worked in the economic crimes section. The Department of Justice also dismissed three other Southern District prosecutors who had worked with former special counsel Jack Smith.
