FBI Subpoenas Election Audit Records From 2020 Presidential Race in Arizona

Following Donald Trump's unsubstantiated fraud allegations regarding his 2020 Arizona loss to Joe Biden, Republican state lawmakers commissioned a review of Maricopa County's election results in 2021. Cyber Ninjas, a firm with no prior election auditing experience run by a Trump supporter, conducted the audit. The review was plagued with significant errors, including falsely claiming county officials deleted electronic files before retracting the claim, and inspecting ballots for bamboo to suggest Chinese origin. After six months of investigation, the audit found no evidence of widespread fraud. The FBI subsequently obtained these audit records through grand jury subpoena.
