Steve Fulop is in discussions to become CEO of the Partnership for New York City, set to replace Kathryn Wylde, who is retiring after leading the group since 2000. Wylde earned more than $1.5 million in 2023, according to nonprofit tax filings. Fulop, 48, would need to move to New York City if appointed. He defended a proposal for government-run grocery stores, arguing such initiatives have precedent. Fulop ran for New Jersey governor this year and finished third with 16% in the Democratic primary. He worked at Goldman Sachs during Sept. 11, 2001 and later joined the Marines.
