Former CNN journalist Chris Cillizza acknowledged a substantial effort by Joe Biden's aides to conceal the president's cognitive and physical decline, making it challenging for reporters to address these issues openly. He stated that the Biden team employed tactics that shamed journalists into avoiding questions about his health. While Cillizza believes the media did not collude in this cover-up, he argues that many journalists were complacent and did not push for clarity. He contrasts this treatment with how he perceives Donald Trump's team would be handled in the press, reflecting on the media's accountability in covering such significant stories.
I think there is now ample evidence that there was a cover-up on Joe Biden's actual physical and mental condition by his aides in the White House.
Instead, I think the Biden team made it really hard to ask questions about his health - they shamed you, said you didn't like him, etc.
Some reporters took the Biden team's word for it because they were either more inclined to believe a Democratic president.
Why it *still* matters that the media missed the big Biden story.
