Elon Musk seeks 'full custody' of son over mother's pro-trans comments
"I will be filing for full custody today, given her statements implying she might transition a one-year-old boy,"
"I feel immense guilt for my role. And even more guilt that things I have said in the past may have caused my son's sister more pain,"
"[I don't really know] how to make amends for many of these things, but I have been trying incredibly hard privately to learn [and] advocate for those within the trans community that I've hurt."
"Even this reply will become right-wing hysteria, but yeah, I am sorry. Let me know how I can help."
Elon Musk announced on X that he will file for full custody of one of his children after his mother, Ashley St Clair, apologized and expressed support for the trans community. Ashley St Clair said she feels immense guilt for promoting anti-trans narratives and wrote that she has been trying privately to learn and advocate for those she hurt. St Clair revealed last year that she shares a child with Musk and accused him of cutting child support and refusing communication. Her apology responded to accusations from The Onion editor June Sternbach of blatant transphobia. Musk supporters urged custody action following her statements. Musk has a history of public custody disputes.
