The guidance discouraged taking Tylenol throughout pregnancy, with a possible exception toward the end. Kenvue, maker of Tylenol, stated that acetaminophen is the safest pain reliever for pregnant women as needed and that rigorous research finds no credible evidence linking acetaminophen to autism.
