Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk suggested a potential freeze in the Ukraine conflict may be imminent due to ongoing discussions for a high-level summit between Donald Trump and Vladimir Putin. Tusk spoke with Ukrainian leader Volodymyr Zelenskyy, who is engaging with Trump and European leaders to facilitate an end to the war. While Zelenskyy is optimistic, there are concerns Ukraine may be excluded from direct negotiations. Trump is open to meeting Putin without preconditions, becoming a significant part of the negotiations for a ceasefire and peace settlement.
Tusk mentioned, 'There are certain signals, and we also have an intuition, that perhaps a freeze in the conflict is closer than it is further away.'
Zelenskyy expressed caution while remaining optimistic about the ceasefire and emphasized Ukraine's eagerness for European countries to assist in planning for peace.
