Tatiana Schlossberg, a 35-year-old environmental journalist and granddaughter of John F. Kennedy and Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis, died Dec. 30 after a year-and-a-half struggle with acute myeloid leukemia that she chronicled in a New Yorker essay. Her invitation-only funeral at The Church of St. Ignatius of Loyola on Manhattan's Upper East Side drew many Kennedys and prominent political figures and celebrities, including Caroline Kennedy, Jack Schlossberg, Joe Biden, John Kerry, Jill Biden, Michael Bloomberg, David Letterman and Seth Meyers. Robert F. Kennedy Jr. and his wife, Cheryl Hines, did not attend the service. The event combined public spectacle with private mourning.
