Representative Brian Babin prayed at the Family Research Council's National Gathering for Prayer and Repentance at the Museum of the Bible on 4 February. Babin thanked God for sending Donald Trump and said prayers were answered in getting a new president and a different national direction than the previous four years. He listed apostasy, blasphemy, children being led toward homosexuality and perversion, open borders, and criminals running rampant as problems facing the country. Babin said the country has new leadership but asserted government will not save the nation; he urged Americans to return to the path set out for them and their Founding Fathers.
