It called, Betrayal of the President, and said that it was an act of cowardice and sabotage."

I mean, I understand the revisionist history that the President has tried to promote. But I think the overwhelming majority of the American people know what they saw that day, and I know what I saw that day."
On the fifth anniversary of the January 6 attack, the Trump administration unveiled a website that made false claims and accused the former vice president of cowardice and sabotage for certifying the election. The site labeled the certification a betrayal and shifted blame onto Capitol Hill police for the riot and ensuing violence. When questioned about the site on television, the former vice president dismissed the insult, called the use of taxpayer dollars offensive, defended his lawful certification of the 2020 election, and said he trusted the judgment of the American people and history.
