""The United States has no obligation to host foreigners who wish death on Americans," the department said in a post on X. "Aliens who take advantage of America's hospitality while celebrating the assassination of our citizens will be removed," it added."
""In the wake of Charlie's assassination, our country must have absolutely no tolerance for this radical left violence, extremism and terror," Trump said."
"Also on Tuesday, Trump described Kirk as a "martyr for truth and freedom" as he posthumously awarded him with the Presidential Medal of Freedom."
The US State Department revoked six visas belonging to citizens of Argentina, South Africa, Mexico, Brazil, Germany and Paraguay after social media comments celebrated the assassination of Charlie Kirk. Kirk was shot while speaking at a Utah university rally in September and the suspect faces the death penalty if convicted. The department said it is continuing to identify visa holders who celebrated the killing and stated foreigners wishing death on Americans will be removed. The Trump administration has increased social media vetting, revoked thousands of visas, and added "anti-American activity" and antisemitism to immigration screening. President Trump posthumously awarded Kirk the Presidential Medal of Freedom and called him a martyr.
