"It's all part of the Trump story, Kirk continued. Sometimes things get very heated and then there's a reconciliation, there's a re-approachment. And we all agree we want Elon Musk and we want Donald Trump to work collaboratively."
"The Trump-Musk pairing stands out, of course, to anyone who has been following their relationship this year. Musk appeared to be on good terms when he exited the White House at the end of May Trump even presented him with a gold key to the White House on his final day. But things soured soon after, with Musk accusing Trump of withholding files on Jeffrey Epstein because the president was named in them. Musk also threatened to launch a new political party, less than a year after publicly supporting President Trump in the 2024 election and only months after working for his administration."
Charlie Kirk predicted a reconciliation between President Donald Trump and Elon Musk, citing Trump's recurring pattern of repairing relationships with confidants and business partners. Kirk invoked past public spats that later resolved and pointed to the improved rapport between Trump and Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis as an example. Earlier this year Musk and Trump appeared aligned, with Musk leaving the White House in May and receiving a ceremonial gold key, but tensions rose after Musk accused Trump of withholding Epstein-related files and threatened a new political party despite prior support and brief service in the administration. Kirk was slain months later in Utah.
