Can Trump Really Pull Funding for NPR and PBS?
Briefly

President Trump issued an executive order to cut federal funding for NPR and PBS, alleging these organizations show political bias. The order, titled 'Ending Taxpayer Subsidization of Biased Media,' mandates the Corporation for Public Broadcasting to halt any funding to these media outlets by June 30. Trump asserts that the CPB has violated its mandate of impartiality. In response, PBS's CEO condemned the move as unlawful and detrimental to educational programming, indicating that NPR and PBS plan to challenge the executive order legally.
The CPB fails to abide by these principles to the extent it subsidizes NPR and PBS. Which viewpoints NPR and PBS promote does not matter.
The President's blatantly unlawful Executive Order, issued in the middle of the night, threatens our ability to serve the American public with educational programming.
