The Pipeline and Hazardous Materials Safety Administration defended the approval, saying the Las Flores Pipeline restart will bring American energy to a state with high gas prices. The dispute follows a Trump executive order reversing a Biden-era offshore drilling ban and a federal court overturning a withdrawal of 625 million acres.
