This comes after Bono and others were targeted by Trump, who suggested that they were involved in illegal campaign contributions supporting Kamala Harris. Bono's support aligns with other rock icons like Eddie Vedder and Neil Young, showcasing a unified front against Trump's criticisms of Springsteen.

Earlier this month, Bono himself was targeted by Trump when the US president said he was calling for a "major investigation" into whether Springsteen, Bono, Beyoncé, and Oprah Winfrey made "illegal campaign contributions" in support of Kamala Harris.
Bono joins the likes of Pearl Jam's Eddie Vedder, Neil Young, and Rage Against the Machine guitarist Tom Morello in making public statements showing solidarity with Springsteen.
