Bill Maher Mocks Trump Rants On Charlie Kirk Shooting
"BILL MAHER: Yesterday the president weighed in on this. He said Violence and murder are tragic consequences of demonizing those you disagree with day after day, year after year. And that goes double for dogs fat pigs and terrible persons!. Today, they asked the president, what are you going to do to bring the country together? And he said, I know this is going to get me in trouble, but I could care less.."
"In Washington, D.C., okay, and people started to gather around him and they were chanting, You're the Hitler of our time!. Okay, first of all, assholes, he's not Hitler, okay? An insult to everybody in the Holocaust to begin with. Second of all calling somebody Hitler makes it a lot easier to justify things like assassinations. Let's put a sh*tload of that away, shall we?"
Bill Maher opened the show by roasting President Trump over his public rants after the killing of Charlie Kirk. Maher quoted Trump’s remarks, mocked the phrase “I could care less,” and ridiculed the suggestion to “let the healing stop.” Maher condemned chants calling someone “Hitler,” calling the label an insult to Holocaust victims and warning that such dehumanizing language makes assassination easier. Maher also criticized Trump for dining in public after the killing. Guests included Charlie Sheen, Tim Alberta, and Ben Shapiro, who joined the panel discussion that followed.
