Ben Shapiro criticized Tucker Carlson for his remarks at a Turning Point USA conference, where Carlson implied Trump was involved in a child rape cover-up without explicitly naming him. Carlson expressed frustration over the government's dismissal of his questions regarding Trump. Shapiro challenged Carlson to directly accuse Trump if he believes he is guilty. Additionally, Shapiro pointed out Carlson's tendency to speculate without providing solutions and called out Carlson for not backing up his claims, which he deemed part of a larger demoralization effort within the right.
One of the things you'll notice about Tucker, he's very good at sort of speculating about problems without offering any solutions or trying to solve them, observed Shapiro.
If he wants to accuse Donald Trump of being complicit in a child rape gang cover-up, then he should just say his name. He should just do it.
He's throwing that out there as a red herring to the fact that he is saying things that he does not have the capacity to back up, period.
This is all part, again, of a sort of broader demoralization effort that is happening on parts of the right, submitted Shapiro.
