Alina Habba accused Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Frey of being a Somali sympathizer after he defended protesters during violent clashes with Immigration and Customs Enforcement. Habba criticized Frey's public displays with a Somali flag as increasing hostility. Habba reported roughly 200 federal agents deployed to keep the peace, remove criminals, and deport noncitizens. The Department of Justice will investigate entities funding mass protests and pursue RICO-style enforcement if protests put people at risk or block worship. Jacob Frey characterized ICE officers as an occupying force and called for their removal following several ICE shootings.
