"I mean, that's absurd. Obviously we won't be on a conference call explaining all of our plans and strategies for health care reform because they are leaked in real-time, literally, when I have a conference call with all my members, it's tweeted out by journalists. They are supposed to be private but they're not. And, so, Marjorie knows and she knows she can come into my office at any day, any hour, and I'll lay out everything for her."
"Apparently I have to go into a SCIF to find out the Republican healthcare plan!!! You left out that I said I have no respect for the House not being in session passing our bills and the President's executive orders. And I demanded to know from Speaker Johnson what the Republican plan for healthcare is to build the off-ramp off Obamacare and the ACA tax https://t.co/eiY6M8tJyD Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (@RepMTG) October 28, 2025"
House Speaker Mike Johnson appeared on Fox News with anchor Shannon Bream and addressed Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene's social media accusation about withheld Republican health care policy. Greene posted that Johnson refused to present a policy proposal on a GOP conference call and suggested she would need a SCIF to learn the plan. Bream explained that an SCIF is a protected space for sensitive information. Johnson said conference calls leak in real time to journalists, that committees and staff are developing policy ideas, and that Greene can come to his office any time for a full briefing. He said the final plan is being formulated.
