1,600 illegal migrants - including MS-13 members and international fugitives - busted on Long Island this year
Briefly

More than 1,600 illegal migrants with prior convictions have been taken into custody by ICE on Long Island since the beginning of the year. This includes MS-13 members, murderers, and international fugitives. Enhanced enforcement under President Trump has seen collaboration between ICE and local law enforcement, particularly in Nassau County. A deal established extra jail capacity for immigration detainees, and local detectives were deputized to assist ICE. While ICE captures individuals with serious offenses, details on the specific criminal histories of those detained have not been disclosed.
Since Jan. 20, ICE has significantly increased its immigration enforcement activities with additional support from other federal as well as local law enforcement agencies.
ICE law enforcement, along with our partners, are doing what 'Sanctuary' politicians refuse to do - protect the American people.
